Eng. Abdullah Al-Sawaha Minister Communication and information Technology payed a visit to PSAU’s pavilion at the Third International Conference and Exhibition for the Internet of Things, in which the university was represented by the Institute of Research and Consulting Services. The visit was on Sunday morning at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.
Minister “Al-Sawah” was received by Dr. Mubarak Al-Harbi Dean of Institute of Research and Consulting Services, who explained the university’s leading role in providing a high-quality technical environment and stimulating competitiveness in this field. The Minister listened to an explanation of the innovative home automation project; a project that helps people who are unable to move to control some devices via brain signals, by wearing a headset and controlling the home through it, Like lighting control and TV. Then, he Then took a brief about the smart interactive mirror project. It keeps pace with modern technology using the Internet of Things and can be used as a substitute for the mobile device and displays the most important developments and applications such as email, and time. The Minister commended those qualitative technical projects, praising the management of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University for motivating its students at that advanced level.
At the end of the visit, Dr. Mubarak Al-Harbi, presented a memorial shield to Minister Al-Sawah.
