Dr. Rumaih Al-Rumaih the Chairman of the Public Authority for Transport Inaugurated the Saudi Exhibition for Transport and Logistics 2020. The expo was launched at Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. It witnessed the attendance of Prof. Abdul Aziz Al Hamid Rector of PSAU and a number of leaderships of the logistics private and public sectors.
Dr. Rumaih Al-Rumaih delivered affirming that everyone seeks through this exhibition to work together as governmental and private sectors to achieve the 2030 vision by transforming the Kingdom into a global logistics center linking the three continents, because of the strategic geographic location of the Kingdom, and because of its constituents Tremendous enough to lead on the international scene. For his part, Prof. Al-Hamid in his speech, Saudi Arabia is blessed with great competitive advantages, and among these features is its important geographical location that mediates the continents of the world, and connects Asia, Africa and Europe, in addition to its occurrence on international shipping lines, and the Kingdom is advanced in the Arab region in the field of infrastructure and legislative. These features make the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia eligible to be a central platform for providing logistics services and connecting the east and west of the world and an area for storage and distribution between producers and consumers and a transportation station in all directions, and these features pushed the Kingdom to be the logistics services one of the goals of its vision 2030, recognizing the importance of logistics services to the growth of the economy and the diversity of income sources, in addition to the various job opportunities it provides for those who want to work.
Later, Dr. Al-Rumaih, visited PSAU’s pavilion. It is worth noting that the university was represented by the Institute of Research and Consulting Services, and the Institute's dean, Dr. Mubarak Al-Harbi. It provided a brief about the university's achievements and the goals and services of the institute. Then, the Rector handed a commemorative shield for Dr. Al-Rumaih.
