Prof. Abdul Aziz Al-Hamid, Rector of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, inaugurated yesterday evening, 30/3/1441 H, College of Arts and Sciences for female students in Wadi Al-Dawasir.
The inauguration was in the presence of the Governor of Wadi Al-Dawasir, Prof. Abdullah Al-Mubarak, the university's undersecretaries and a number of its leaders and heads of government departments in the governorate. After cutting the ribbon and the unveiling of the commemorative plaque, Rector and the accompanying delegation toured the building.
The total cost of the building is more than SR 77 million. The total area of the college is 29 thousand square meters and consists of 15 laboratories, 37 classrooms, 160 administrative offices and classrooms, as well as a theater for approximately 350 students, a cafeteria and a modern library, as well as furnished with the latest furniture to the highest specifications.
Prof. Al-Hamid praised the keenness of the wise leadership of universities in the Kingdom, including Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz University. He expressed his hope that this building will contribute to provide a stimulating educational environment for students and contribute to the development and quality of work.
Moreover, Prof. Al-Hamid praised the distinguished efforts exerted by the Vice-Rectorate and its departments in accomplishing such projects and preparing them for our students.
It is noteworthy that the college building is located on campus for female students with a total value of more than 285 million riyals and includes four buildings with a total area of about 147 thousand square meters.
